“Pre-O has been incredible,” says Mikey Marinelli ’19. “I’ve met some great people, had a great time, and I’m just really getting used to the atmosphere of Dickinson and loving it.”

Marinelli is one of more than 260 incoming first-year students who arrived on Sunday to participate in the Pre-Orientation Adventure program. From wilderness experiences to entrepreneurship, diversity to dance, the 21 programs offered an array of opportunities for students to kick-start their Dickinson experience by immersing themselves in an aspect of this community about which they are passionate.

“It’s been the best experience,” says Amara Rojo ’19. “Everyone’s in the same boat as you, you’re exploring the area and you’re getting a good feel for what your next four years are going to be like.”
