Learning and Action Networks (LANs) are initiatives to promote collaborative engagement between community stakeholders and Dickinson faculty, staff, and students. There are several LANs in the Carlisle community focusing on specific neighborhoods or areas of interest. Each LAN is composed of community representatives and Dickinson faculty, staff, and students.

Northside Learning and Action Network
The Northside Learning and Action Network builds capacity in Carlisle’s Northside neighborhood. Current focuses include access to transportation and healthy food.
The ArtsLAN is exploring ways to advance the Carlisle community’s identity as a destination for community-based arts and cultural programs.
Health Learning and Action Network
The Health LAN aims to enhance regional healthcare access and the healthcare professional pipeline.
