Interviews

Interviewing is a great way for us to get to know you better and to help us gain insight into your personal experiences, passions and goals. Your interview at Dickinson is also an excellent opportunity for you to explore the college, get vital questions answered and enhance your application.

Virtual Interviews

Virtual interviews are typically conducted by students’ admissions counselor via Zoom. Students can contact their admissions counselor to request an interview. Virtual interviews are only available to high school seniors at this time.

On-Campus Interviews

On-campus interviews can be scheduled as part of a campus visit.

International Student Interviews

International students may request a virtual interview using this online form or submit an interview done with InitialView or Vericant.

Interview Days

Dickinson looks forward to sponsoring in-person, off-campus Interview Days in the future. These programs provide great opportunities to connect with admissions staff and alumni and parent volunteers. Check back for Interview Day locations and dates.

Notes on Interviewing

  • Interviews are offered for as many applicants and prospective students as possible but are not a required element of the application. Due to interview demand, students may only participate in one interview opportunity.
  • Interviews last about 30 minutes and are conducted by admissions counselors, trained alumni volunteers and Admissions Fellows. On-campus and virtual interviews are viewed equally by the Admissions Committee.
  • Interviews are available to prospective students starting in April of their junior year in high school and should be scheduled and conducted before your application deadline.
  • You may share an unofficial transcript and/or activities resume in your interview. Thoughtful questions about Dickinson's programs, people and opportunities are also welcomed.
