Deadlines and Audition Dates

The deadlines for Slideroom submissions are October 15 (Early Decision) and January 4 (Early Decision II and Regular Decision).

After a confidential evaluation process, those students who meet the full criteria for a music scholarship will be invited to a live audition on campus. During the audition day, students and their families have the opportunity to learn more about the Music Department and Dickinson’s liberal arts approach to music.

Live auditions and interviews are required for consideration for prospective student music scholarships but not for academic merit scholarships or admission to the College. If an invitation is not extended, your talent submission will still factor into your overall admission decision.

Students who are invited but unable to travel to Dickinson for an audition should submit a request for special consideration to

November 4-8, 2019 | Early Decision Audition Week

This audition is scheduled in consultation with the prospective student. Students may choose to augment their visit to Dickinson with a campus tour, a visit to an academic class, or attendance of any rehearsals or masterclasses taking place. Vocalists will be provided with a faculty accompanist for their audition.

March 2-4, 2020 | Spring Semester Audition Day (Early Decision II, Regular Decision)

At our spring semester audition day, students have the opportunity to perform live in our beautiful recital hall, meet with our faculty, attend departmental classes, take a campus tour, eat in the dining hall, and meet with current students. Vocalists will be provided with a faculty accompanist for their audition.
