The Revolutionary Challenge is a chance for Dickinsonians to come together, leverage the college’s emerging and existing strengths and address grand challenges with big ideas and bold deeds. Knowing that this useful liberal-arts education has prepared our graduates to be innovative, to think outside of rigid disciplines and see connections, we invite every member of the global Dickinson community to help the college determine those big ideas and bold challenges.
Responding to Benjamin Rush’s founding directive that Dickinson address real-world problems, the college has already taken a leadership role in impact-driven higher education through global study, sustainability and civic engagement. Now is the time to determine the next bold initiative that will enable us to continue to deliver on Rush’s promise.

Once the proposals are submitted and posted in October 2019. Members of the Dickinson community were then invited to respond to the proposals, provide commentary and identify which ones resonate most closely with their vision for the college’s future and have the highest potential to positively impact our world.
