Laguna Art Museum is the museum of California art. It collects, cares for, and exhibits works of art created by California artists and/or representing the life and history of the state. Our tour will cover each of their current exhibitions: Self-Help Graphics, 1983-1991 highlights a selection of prints from the East L.A. printmaking workshop and arts center that emerged from the Chicano movement of the 1960s; Sculptures by Gwynn Murrill is the first exhibition to present work from the artist’s entire career, spanning the early 1970s to today; I Will Not Make Any More Boring Art: Prints by John Baldessari includes over 70 works by one of the most revered and influential figures in contemporary California art. The tour will last approximately one hour; however, you may continue enjoying the museum until it closes at 5 p.m. Please register by Monday, Sept. 16.
