Concussed Students Guidance Session for Faculty and Staff

May 15, 2019

The impacts of a concussion can be long-term, depending on what steps are taken in the first 1-2 weeks. Come to learn about symptoms, impact on academics, and best practices for accommodations.

About 50 Dickinson students are diagnosed with a concussion each year, and this can have a significant impact on a student's ability to keep up academically. Presenters from the athletic training staff, the Wellness Center, ADS, the faculty, and previously concussed students welcome you to bring a lunch while feeding your brains. No RSVP necessary, but an email to Marni Jones will help ensure plenty of handouts.
