Food stores, brood chamber change, prep for hive split.
We will be going out on Thursday, April 18th at 2:30PM to check on the hives (meet us at the hives behind Rector). The need to check food stores, pollen levels, if the brood chamber needs to be moved, and whether we should be making preparations for a hive split. And of course, we will be looking for Sweet Scarlet, Comb Cobalt, Beeswax Banana, Langstroth Lime, and Flutter Flint (the bees marked for the Bee.F.F. program). If you’re coming out for the first time this academic year, complete the training beforehand!
