Lyme Disease is a mysterious infection spread through a tick bite, and fools many by imitating symptoms of various other disease processes. Attend this event to learn from prominent speakers and researchers in the area of Lyme Disease education, research and support.

Curious about the latest information on the multi-level health and wellness challenge for those who love the outdoors? Sign-up and plan to attend both the panel discussion and documentary that will be shared in the ATS from 6-8 p.m. --- but also consider attending the 11 a.m.-4 p.m. vendor tables in the HUB Lobby outside of the Social Hall during the annual Benefits & Wellness Fair.

  • Mary Beth Pfeiffer, author of Lyme: The First Epidemic of Climate Change
  • Dr. Neil Spector, a top oncologist and researcher from Duke University, sharing how cancer research approaches will inform new Lyme Disease therapies.
  • Dr. Chris Turnpaugh, discussing co-morbidity of Lyme Disease and molecular mimicry of human tissue
  • Jeff Stauffer, sharing Tick Tracker devices and apps available to educate and assist with the fight against tick-borne illnesses
  • Special Guest Stephen Smith '92, President and CEO of LLBean

This FREE community event does require registration to attend the panel discussion and documentary (6-8 p.m.) through Sam’s Spoons Foundation.
