Queer Cap Tapping Ceremony

April 11, 2019

Join the Class of 2019 Queer Caps as they tap the newest members of the Class of 2020!

They will also tap honorary members from the faculty, staff, or administration.

The Queer Caps were established in 2008 to encourage visibility of queer activists on campus. At the time, many students felt like there wasn’t enough recognition of the value of queer programming and visibility on campus. The founders described the students selected as Queer Caps as individuals who advocated for queer rights, working to tear down traditions and establishments that perpetuate systems of oppression.
