Exploring our Place to Recycle Local

July 11, 2018

This unique sustainability field trip to a local textile and small household recycling facility is open to all Dickinsonians.

Join us for a fun field trip to Shippensburg, PA on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm to explore Recycle Local. Recycle Local's textile and small household item recycling programs keep millions of pounds of reusable materials out of our nation's landfills each year. This is not only a win for the environment, but also a huge win for their recycling partners' job programs that employ: Special Needs Individuals, Native Americans and local businesses & non-profits. Come behind the scenes to learn about this local resource and help determine how Dickinson can partner.

All are invited to attend. Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes. Transportation provided. No cost. This event is part of the "Exploring Our Place Series." This series is designed to create experiential learning opportunities for students, faculty and staff to come together and learn about places, processes and people. Participants will be encouraged to broaden their sense of place through hands-on learning. All are welcomed. RSVP requested.
