Come learn about the Summer Program 2025 "Food Cultures and Sustainability": two credits, food studies classes, active-learning moments, shadowing in local organizations, field trips, and several great Italian destinations!
Program Highlights
-Take two classes to earn 2 Dickinson credits (taught in English).
-Engage in hands-on food production activities in and around Bologna, while learning how the local terroir shapes flavors and culinary traditions.
-Visit unique food production locations in Venice, including a small farming island and a vegetable garden -situated within a monastery.
-Explore urban farms, outdoor markets, and sustainable food initiatives in Turin.
-Shadow/observe the role/responsibilities of a professional in a local organization.
-Acquire basic Italian language skills to enhance your experience while in Italy.
