The Dickinson Orchestra will perform its spring concert featuring the winner of the Concerto Competition, George Frisbie '25.
The Dickinson Orchestra presents music which bookended the Romantic period and embodies some of that era’s most distinctive characteristics, including a representative work by a female African American composer, Florence Price (1887-1953). The program entails: Price’s Concert Overture no. 2, Schubert’s Symphony no. 8, “Unfinished,” Mendlssohn’s Hebrides Overture, and his Piano Concerto no. 1 in G minor, featuring student concerto competition winner George Frisbie ’25.
