The College Choir joins instrumentalists and guest musicians to present a concert on the themes of war, peace and justice.
This concert expands the themes of the symposium to the realm of environmental justice, with the world premiere of To Know the Dark, a choral work composed by Sam Phelps ’19, featuring the poetry of Wendell Berry. Berry’s poetry speaks of darkness and hope and of history and faith, and it ends with a call for an honest accounting of our ecological role on Earth. The concert concludes with Vaughan Williams’ cantata Dona Nobis Pacem, featuring faculty and alumni performances.
