EST À Table: The Art of Mealtimes in France In this class we will discuss: the practice of social life around a meal, or comensalité à la française; how it affects overall health and well-being in France; and current, published research on how Dickinson students master specific socio-linguistic norms while sharing family meals. Take-aways from the class: some quality adjustments that you can incorporate into your own mealtimes and sharing of family foodways and a few basic food choices and recipes central to the French kitchen.
