Holcombe Green and Zoe Kaminski work together in the private capital advisory business at Lazard. Lazard is a publicly traded (NYSE: LAZ) financial advisory and investment management firm that engages in investment banking, asset management and other financial services, primarily with institutional clients. It is the world’s largest independent investment bank, operating in 40 cities across 25 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Central and South America.  

 

Holcombe and Zoe will discuss their routes to investment banking positions: the good, the bad (and the ugly/late night in the office or on the road) aspects of life as an investment banker; and how to think about starting and building a career on Wall Street. Holcombe has been an investment banker for nearly 25 years, starting at Merrill Lynch & Co. as a Summer Associate in 1996. Zoe started her investment banking career at Lazard as a financial analyst after her graduation from Dickinson two years ago.  

 

Holcombe Green Bio: Holcombe Green is the global head of the Private Capital Advisory business at Lazard. Private Capital Advisory includes Lazard’s businesses in the fundraising, secondary and private placement markets across the private debt, private equity, real assets and real estate markets. The Private Capital Advisory business is a leading advisor to financial sponsors and institutional investors in these markets and operates from seven offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Notable clients include Altos Ventures, Ares Management, Ascent Resources, Bank of America, BauPost, Citi, CPP, First Reserve, GE, General Motors, Hamilton Lane Advisors, Insight Partners, Kohlberg, Lehman Brothers, NEA, Och-Ziff, Olympus Capital Asia, Permira, PSP, T.H. Lee, TPG, Triton, Varde and Warburg Pincus. Prior to joining Lazard in 2004, he spent six years as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch in New York, where he advised corporate clients in the technology, industrial and consumer industries on a variety of strategic and financing transactions. Holcombe was also previously Director of Corporate Development for IBM Corporation, responsible for business development initiatives related to IBM Global Services, the largest division of IBM. He began his career as a member of the Washington, D.C. staff of United States Senator Sam Nunn. Dickinson College, B.A. in Philosophy; Yale School of Management, M.P.P.M.  

 

Zoe Kaminski Bio: Zoë Kaminski joined Lazard in June 2018. Zoë is an Analyst in the Private Capital Advisory group in New York City. Zoë provides a broad range of advisory services, including: Financial Sponsor liquidity solutions, divestiture of private fund interests and private capital raising. Recent experience includes: advising Insight Partners on their fund recapitalization, Altos Ventures on their fund recapitalization, and The Raine Group on raising $850M for Raine Partners III, LP. Zoë is a licensed FINRA broker with Series 63, SIE and Series 79 certifications. Dickinson College, B.A. in International Business & Management
