Personal Statement Workshop with Denise Shekerjian

November 15, 2020

If you’re thinking about applying to a fellowship or graduate school, the personal statement is a critical element.

Dickinson’s Center for Advising, Internships & Lifelong Career Development is excited to offer a personal statement workshop through our Liberal Arts Career Network (LACN) membership. Join Denise Shekerjian, Middlebury College Class of ’75, to learn how to craft cohesive, persuasive and memorable materials to support your academic and professional goals.

Denise Shekerjian owns and operates Soul of a Word in Burlington, Vermont. As a writer, author, and lawyer, Denise works with college and graduate school-bound students on their application essays. Denise is skilled in the storytelling arts and has published books, literary essays, and other narrative nonfiction. As a lawyer, she’s a ruthless questioner, has a knack for uncovering the telling details, and knows a thing or two about persuasion. Read more at www.soulofaword.com.
