Honey Cinnamon Bars Cooking Tutorial

Join us in an online cooking tutorial and discussion about honey harvesting, production and sales. Put your local honey to the test by making honey cinnamon bars together. Come cook with us over zoom on October 15 at 7 pm EST. Bring the following ingredients with you if you want to make them along with us! However, you are free to just watch and learn. We will discuss how honey is produced, and share our local sources leaving you with skills for change! Join us through EngageD.

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup LOCAL honey (if possible)
1 large egg, room temperature or egg substitute
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped toasted walnuts OPTIONAL
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons greek yogurt or vegan substitute
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 to 2 tablespoons water
