The best way to protect yourself and others around you against influenza (flu) is to get a flu vaccine every year.
Influenza is a contagious respiratory disease that can lead to serious illness, hospitalization, or even death. CDC recommends everyone six months and older get an annual flu vaccine.
Per President Ensign’s email sent Thursday, Aug. 27, everyone living or working on campus will be required to get a flu vaccine. Students and employees can schedule an appointment for a flu vaccine now in Totara. More dates will be added over the course of the semester.
In accordance with College policy, all individuals will be required to wear a face covering during the time that they are at Flu Vaccine Clinic.
This year, we will not be able to accommodate walk-ins because of space limitations and other COVID-19 related considerations. Please login to Gateway and click on the Totara icon to schedule your flu vaccine appointment time, https://totara.dickinson.edu/course/view.php?id=165
An updated announcement will be placed on our webpage as soon as shipment arrives. If you were scheduled this week, you will be automatically scheduled with the same day/time on Oct. 21 or Oct. 22. Registration in Totara will be reopened once we receive the flu vaccine shipment If you need to reschedule your vaccine appointment. Thank you for your pat ience regarding this unforeseen event!
