An interactive workshop.
LGBTQ Allyship on college campuses often starts in the form of trainings and discussions around “safe spaces,” such as in our own R.A.I.S.E. training. This interactive workshop will include a discussion around when and where bias happens on and off campus, and how to respond to bias in ways that extend our models beyond the singular safe space and the singular ally in order to support LGBTQ community. Participants will expand their understanding of queer justice in order to think expansively about how to create a campus climate void of discrimination around sexual orientation and gender identity.
Join for this discussion led by Todd G. Nordgren, (Director, Office of LGBTQ Services and Adjunct Faculty, Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies)
