This session will explore many career paths in a quickly-changing industry.
There are many different ways of making a life and a living in the music industry besides performing and excelling at playing an instrument, singing, or conducting a band, chorus, or orchestra. The worlds of music and the performing arts were large and varied even before the digital age broke down the walls of concert halls and theaters, and there may now be more options and opportunities than ever to follow a passion for music into a fulfilling career in the field. The industry is always looking for those who can combine a love and knowledge of music with strong abilities to lead, manage, produce, organize, curate, or create. This session will explore some of those many career paths in a quickly-changing industry.
