Join the Asbell Center and the College Farm for our first cooking class of the semester!
Tu BiShvat, or the 15th of the Month of Shevat, is the Jewish New Year of the Trees. This mystical holiday dates from Medieval Israel, and celebrates the cycle of the year, the development of the soul, and the blooming of the almond trees. In honor of this holiday, the Asbell Center for Jewish Life and the Dickinson Farm will host a cooking class that will focus on produce local to Israel. In addition, the class will teach about kashrut, the Jewish dietary laws. Come for a scrumptious feast, vegan options available. This event is for the Dickinson Community.
