Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) Information Session
Are you interested in staying in the U.S. to work? One of the benefits of an F-1 visa is eligibility to apply for post-completion OPT (Optional Practical Training), 12 months of authorized work in your field of study (major).
Thursday, Feb. 06
12:00 – 1 p.m. in Stern 103
This session will provide an overview on the application process, timelines to understand, examples of past application mistakes, and time for Q & A. Early application is important if you are planning to work during the summer. OPT applications take at minimum 90 days (or more) to process. Seniors (2020) planning to work in the U.S. after graduation should prioritize attending.
