Our next stop takes us down High Street to the eastern edge of campus. Denny Memorial Hall is one of the few buildings on campus that does not have limestone walls. Originally opened in 1896, the building was destroyed by a fire in 1904. It was replaced with a new building bearing the same name and underwent renovations in 1984. Denny's large lecture halls provide ample space for history, political science, anthropology, sociology, and American studies classes.
