Julia Deupree

My name is Julia Deupree and I have the honor of being the chief of staff of the Diversity Initiatives Office for the 2006-2007 academic year. I am an anthropology major with a passion for social justice and equality. I have been active in many multicultural organizations such as the Latin American Club and Middle Eastern Club as well as social clubs including Habitat for Humanity and Teaching English as a Second Language to Mexican immigrants.

Trena Eshenour

I have been working for Dickinson College since October of 1999. I started working for Diversity Initiatives in October of 2002. In this position I work for Michael Benitez, Jr., Director of Diversity Initiatives and John Miyahara, Director of Religious Life and Community Services, along with the Diversity Assistants and Diversity Volunteers. One of the perks about my position is working with the students in the Diversity office. They are a group of wonderful people who offer so much to the office and the Dickinson community.

 
 

Ezequiel Gleichgerrcht

My name is Ezequiel Gleichgerrcht and I am an international student from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a junior with a double major in Neuroscience and Biology, and I'm planning to pursue a career in the field of neurology. I am a passionate for languages and have been involved in several organizations, including the French Club and the Portuguese Club. As a Diversity Assistant, I would like to see students from all backgrounds engaging in programs designed to help raise awareness of diversity at Dickinson College.

Valbona Kambo

My name is Valbona Kambo. I am a sophomore at Dickinson college and currently working at the Diversity of Initiatives Office. I was born and raised in Albania . My family moved to U.S about 7 years ago. I am a member of Philadelphia Futures program which is a Sponsor-A-Scholarship Program which helps up students to succeed. I have participated in many organizations such as Latin Amriacan Club, The sisterhood, African American Club and Dickinson Desi Association.

Paula Lima

Hello! I am Paula M. Lima, the Interim Director of Diversity Initiatives. I hail originally from Massachusetts, but have been in Central PA obtaining my Masters degree in Community Psychology and Social Change at Penn State Harrisburg for approximately (3) years now. Prior to this move, I resided in Atlanta , GA where I graduated with a BA in psychology from Emory University.

Lauren Wetherell

My name is Lauren Wetherell. I consider myself to be from little bit of everywhere because I have lived in different states like Minnesota, Texas, and Massachusetts. People like to ask me which one is my favorite but I honestly don't have one. Living in different areas of the country has given me the opportunity to experience small and large cultural differences. These differences are range from words like “pop,” “coke,” and “soda” used to describe the same thing to whether you know your neighbor.

Emily Wing

My name is Emily Wing and I am a sophomore from Yarmouth, Maine. I am an English major with a minor in Education. I am currently the co-treasurer of Phoenix and am involved with other community service efforts through the college, including coordinating a trip to New Orleans to do Hurricane Katrina relief. This year as a Diversity Assistant I hope to work towards bringing not only the college community together on topics of diversity, but also reaching out to our greater Carlisle community and incooperating them in our efforts to diversify the community.
