“The Twilight Saga: Girls, Women & Feminism in Popular Culture”
An Academic Conference

Professionals and students, from a variety of disciplines, are invited to present scholarly papers, lead roundtable discussions or facilitate panels, on the current popular culture phenomenon that is The Twilight Saga. Papers may address discussions of some, or more, of the themes in the book or film series, including, but not limited to;
Gender
Race & Ethnicity
Marriage & Family
Religion
Music of the Series
Fan Characteristics
Sexuality / Sexual Orientation
Other Areas as Appropriate
In addition we are looking for facilitators of group discussions & participants in panel discussions, on topics related to the series. Submit your idea for a group discussion in the same manner as you would submit for a paper presentation.
The deadline for papers submissions is Thursday, October 7, 2010. Please submit abstracts, & papers, via email attachment. Abstracts must be between 200—300 words in length.
