Staff of Community Service and Religious Life
The staff in the Office of Community Service and Religious Life is here to help connect students, faculty, staff and community together in a myraid of ways. Working in partnerships with local faith commuities and leaders, the staff works with students to explore and support development and practice of many faith traditions. The staff consists of professional staff and student staff ready to assist you at any time. We look forward to hearing from you.

Amy graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has over fifteen years experience in Human Resource Management. After taking a leave of absence to stay at home with her daughters, she returned to the workforce part time in an administative capacity.
Amy started working part-time at Dickinson College in the fall of 2008 as a Staff Assistant in the Conferences and Special Events Department. In this position she tracked all of the campus events, handled the Guest House reservations, and various other clerical responsibilities.
Amy loves the activity and student energy within the Office where things are always happening. She lives in the Carlisle area with her husand, two daughters, and two dogs.

Ted Merwin

Ted Merwin splits times as a professor in Judaic Studies and as the Director of the Asbell Center. Through the Asbell Center, he works with students interested in exploring Jewish faith, traditions and customs. Ted is on sabatical for Fall 2012. Father Dwight Schlaline

Father Dwight grew up in East Berlin, not far from Carlisle. He graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville, then attended seminary in Rome Italy from 2006-2010. He also have a bachelor's degree in Sacred Theology from Gregorian University and master's in Spritiual Formation from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas (aka the Angelicum).
He was ordanied a priest in June 2010 and came to serve as associate pastor at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church. As a Parochial Vicar he works at St. Patrick's and the catholic campus minister at Dickinson. He leads mass weekly on Sunday evenings on campus during the academic year.

Catherine hopes to help organize several religious events that start exciting interfaith discussion. She would like to see a diverse group of students join to reflect on their beliefs and values.
On campus, she has participated in the Dickinson Days of Service and the Serve the World trip to the Dominican Republic. This year she has been matched with a little for Brig Brother Big Sister and will be volunteering with Keystone Health to help translate for migrant workers.
For fun, Catherine loves to read, travel, go hiking and pick up sports. She also likes silly crafts like making dream catchers and knitting.

Austin is a sophomore from Stockertown, Pennsylvania. As the leader to the "What matters most" dinners, Austin will help maintain the excellent standards set for the What Matters Most dinners at Dickinson. He also can't wait to work with an awesome group of people over the next few months!
On campus, Austin is also involved in the Dickinson Christian Fellowship, the Outing Club, and as a desk assistant for the Wellness House.

Nicole is a sophomore from Easton, PA. This year, she will be in charge of organizing interfaith dinners and discussions. Nicole hopes to continue with the Beliefs and Big Questions dinner program, along with hosting movie and discussion nights in conjunction with the Women's Center and Hillel. Additionally, she hopes to start a chapter of the Interfaith Alliance of Pennsylvania at Dickinson.
In her spare time Nicole is a member of the Swing Dance Club, DTG (Dance and Theatre Group), and is a senator on Student Senate. She enjoys baking, dancing, and figure skating. She also enjoys learning languages and is writing a fashion blog.

Whitney is a sophomore from Williamstown, MA. This year she helps provide support to the front office by working to answer questions and helping anyone that walks in the door.
She also plays Club Lax, volunteers with the Phoneathon, and works in the Quarry. She enjoys playing with her new puppy Bubba, spending time with family and friends, photography and reading.
