Traveling can be very disruptive to our normal eating
patterns and it is not all that uncommon to hear people complain that they have
gained weight while being away from home.
Visiting different countries with a different food culture can lead to
some unwanted extra pounds.
I recommend start by setting realistic goals for your weight
loss. Sometimes we feel the need to lose
the extra weight fast which leads us to fad diets, restricting our intake which
ultimately leads to failure and sometimes added weight gain.
I also would be mindful of adding more fruits, vegetables,
lean protein, whole grains and low fat dairy products as the majority of your

portion sizes and a meal and snack planning to ensure that you are getting the
right amount of nutrition to meet you specific needs.
I would also recommend adding 30 minutes of physical
activity most days of the week. The best
way to increase exercise is to find activities that you enjoy. This helps ensure that you will continue with
your fitness and weight goals.
I do NOT recommend adding a diet pill or fat burning
supplement. These supplements often
advertise quick fat burning or weight loss which often is not the case. These supplements and pills are not regulated
and the effectiveness has not been shown for long term weight loss.
