How do I schedule an appointment with a counselor?Call 717-245-1485 or stop by the office on the 2nd floor of the Kline Center Annex between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to schedule an appointment.
May I schedule an appointment with the psychiatrist?
Students who wish to explore medication as a part of their treatment plan may schedule appointments with our psychiatrist. She will provide an initial assessment regarding the possibility of using medication and offer medication recommendations to students following the initial evaluation and continued follow-up by one of the staff psychologists.
Are there any fees involved?
All students pay a health and wellness fee that supports the services the Wellness Center provides; however, there is no additional charge for visits to the Wellness Center for Counseling and Psychiatric Services.
Will my visits to the Wellness Center go in my student record?
All health-related services provided through the Wellness Center are kept confidential and separate from your student record. These records are not released to parents, college employees outside of the Wellness Center, or other individuals without your permission unless there is an emergency and this information is needed to keep you or someone else safe.
Who do I call in the event of a mental health emergency?
During normal business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) you should call the Wellness Center at 717-245-1485 or come to the office. When the Wellness Center is closed, call the Department of Public Safety at 717-245-1111. They will assist you in getting to the right resources, to include transportation to the local emergency room, if needed.
