Engineering 3-2 Program Linkage Agreements
Case Western Reserve
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Columbia University
Students
will attend Dickinson for three years and then the engineering program for two
years. Upon successful completion of the fifth year, students will earn two
Bachelor of Science degrees: one from Dickinson and one from the engineering
school.
Students will likely be admitted via
the Linkage Agreements with Case Western Reserve, Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute, or Columbia University when they meet the following criteria:
- An overall Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher (for
Case Western and RPI) or 3.3 or higher (for Columbia)
- Two letters of recommendation: one from a science
professor and one from a mathematics professor
- Completion of required prerequisite courses by the end
of the junior year at Dickinson (schedule an appointment with Prof. Hans Pfister
to determine which Dickinson courses will fulfill the requirements).
- Completion of all Dickinson major and distribution
requirements by the end of the junior year at Dickinson
- Approval of application by Dickinson faculty
committee
Applications will be reviewed by a
Dickinson College faculty committee. Students may be asked to revise some
or all of the application materials. If the application is approved, it
will be forwarded to the appropriate University in mid-February for the
following fall admission. All materials must be submitted to Laura Kilko by January 30.
Applications are available on the Case Western Reserve web site and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute web site year round . Applications are available on the Columbia University web site beginning December 1.
