On-Campus Recruiting/SLAC
The Career Center offers a Recruiting Program that includes on-campus interviews, resume referrals, and an off-campus recruiting event, SLAC. The Recruiting Program should not be your sole source of job opportunities, but it is a good resource.
On-Campus Interviews
Alumni and other employers who are specifically seeking Dickinson students utilize on-campus interviewing so that they can streamline their recruiting process and meet with as many Dickinson students as their schedule allows for. The Career Center uses the DickinsonConnect system to manage on-campus interviews, which enables students to view open positions, submit their resume on-line, and sign up for interview slots. You can find instructions for using the system by clicking here. If you have any questions, please contact Tammy Heberlig, Recruitment Coordinator.
IMPORTANT: Please review our On-Campus Recruiting Policies & Procedures
Resume Referrals
Resume Referrals work in much the same way as On-Campus Interviewing and can be utilized at any point within the academic year via the DickinsonConnect system. An employer may invite qualified candidates to their office for interviews or, if so desired, make arrangements with the Center to come to campus for a day of interviewing. Often, the employer contact may be an alum.
SLAC
Dickinson College is a member of the Selective Liberal Arts Consortium (SLAC), a group of fourteen liberal arts colleges which annually sponsor recruiting events throughout the year including Interviewing Days in Boston, New York, Washington, DC, Chicago and San Francisco. SLAC also sponsors a Virtual Job Fair and InternshipAdvantage in the spring. SLAC recruiting events are open to Dickinson seniors and selective undergraduates for internships. For more information on these events, visit SLAC’s website.
Students, if you are interested to interview with New York City, Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC or San Francisco companies in their cities, complete this on-line orientation to learn more and to apply for interviews.
