Selective Liberal-Arts Consortium (SLAC)

The Selective Liberal Arts Consortium (SLAC) is comprised of 14 highly selective national liberal arts colleges including Dickinson. Each year SLAC holds interviewing days in Chicago, New York City, and Washington, DC, and San Francisco. This consortium provides you with the opportunity to recruit and interview candidates from some of the top liberal arts colleges in the country in the city where your offices are located, or in a nearby region.   Employers who participate in one or more of the interview days can save time and money as they are able to interview students from around the country in one location

These events are "value added" for the employer because of the convenient locations.  The students that you will see at one of the Recruiting Days are typically seniors seeking entry-level employment opportunities; however, some employers do look to connect with students in other years for selective internships.  These candidates are dynamic and talented with analytical skills and abilities, problem solving skills, and leadership experiences. 

The consortium also sponsors a Virtual Recruiting Fair each spring to offer you the opportunity to connect with highly qualified candidates around the country without ever leaving your office.
