Hillel at Dickinson
Hillel Bagel Brunch - Huge Success!!
Full House at the Asbell Center for Jewish LifeWelcome to the Dickinson College's Hillel Website. It is a great resource to learn about the student-led Jewish life on campus. Hillel is open to students from all denominations of Judaism. Because each student has his or her unique Jewish identity, it allows for students to learn from each other and grow as a community and individuals. We sponsor weekly Shabbat services and dinners, High Holiday celebrations with the surrounding Harrisburg community, Sukkot on the College Farm, Hanukkah and Purim parties, Bagel Brunches, discussions with local Rabbis, and movie nights. By offering a variety of activities we make everyone feel included and welcome. Find us on Facebook, Dickinson College Hillel, to get more information on weekly going-on's at Hillel!

Many students joined together on March 8th to celebrate the many cultures represented on Dickinson's campus as they commemorated the ways in which people around the world have struggled to be free. The annual dinner allows Dickinsonians to share a meal along with stories and insights about various cultures. It is modeled after the Jewish seder, a ceremonial dinner held during Passover, in which Jews eat traditional foods and recall their forefathers' exodus from Egypt. The Multicultural Seder was sponsored by Hillel, Milton B. Asbell Center for Jewish Life, Student Senate, Office of Diversity Initiatives, Office of Religious Life and Community Service, and the Departments of Judaic Studies and Religion.
