Dickinson College Bookstore

The Dickinson College Bookstore offers a variety of merchandise and services. The book department caters to all your book needs, including course books, and general reading materials. You will also find all of your class supplies and a complete line of Dickinson insignia clothing, glassware and gift items.

The bookstore is located in the lower level of the Holland Union Building. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Contact 717-245-1330 with questions.

Bookstore Student Charging

A bookstore charge account is provided to all registered Dickinson students. The charge option works like a credit card using your student ID. Your account is opened with a zero balance and each purchase adds to the total. At the end of the billing cycle, charges are forwarded to the Office of Student Accounts and combined with the student's monthly statement.

The charge option is safe and convenient—there's no need to carry cash. Charging lets you purchase as little or as much as you'd like. The charge option has no limit to the amount that you may charge as long as your account is current. Accounts are considered current when paid within thirty days of receiving your bill. All accounts past due more than 30 days will be charged 1.5 percent and charging privileges will be turned off.

A benefit of charging is that all purchases are recorded on your account and if you want to return an item and have lost your receipt, all we have to do is look up your account to verify the purchase.

Textbook Ordering Information

New features have been added to the Bookstore’s online textbook reservation services for Fall 2013:

· Rent your books: For the first time, many titles will be available to rent for the semester if you would prefer renting over traditional purchasing. Find out more here.

· Get the best price: We now offer comparison textbook shopping provided by our partner, Verba, so you can find the best price without ever leaving the Bookstore site.

Textbook Reservation and Textbook Rental will be available online beginning August 5th at 8:00AM and ending August 21st at 11:59PM. You can also buy new and used textbooks in the Dickinson Bookstore located on the lower level of the Holland Union Building.

Regular sheets won’t fit Dickinson's beds! To solve this problem, we made a special arrangement with a manufacturer to reserve one set of custom-fitted, first-quality linens for each student. This ensured that these hard-to-find sheets, comforters, and mattress pads met our size and quality requirements. It also allowed us to pass along a good deal to new students.
