Constitutional Affairs and Elections Committee
What is CAEC?
The Constitutional Affairs and Elections Committee, or CAEC, is a standing committee of the Dickinson College Student Senate. The committee has several administrative responsibilities: to oversee and regulate Senate elections, to amend Senate governing documents, to regulate the Senate attendance policy, and to keep and track Senate agendas and minutes.
Elections
Student Senate runs elections at both the beginning of the fall
semester and the end of the Spring semester. More information about the Fall 2012 elections can be found by reading our elections packet.
Senate Attendance
To ensure that Senators are properly knowledgeable and accountable to the student body, Senate has an attendance policy that permits only two absences for whatever reason per semester. Absences in excess of two may trigger an attendance hearing before CAEC and the CAEC Chair.
Senate Agendas and Minutes
Minutes from recent Senate meetings can be found on the Minutes tab of our website. Interested students may email us to always be placed on the minutes and agendas email list. In addition, brief Agendas are posted in advance of each meeting on our Facebook page.
