    Theta Chi Philanthropies

    On Wednesday, Oct. 18 and Thursday, Oct. 19 of 2006.Theta Chi and the Department of Public Safety sponsored an event in Britton Plaza to raise awareness of the dangers of drunk driving. Interactive tools, informational pamphlets and presentations were displayed along with a petition, which campus-community members signed, pledging not to drive drunk.

    The Salvation Army Soup Kitchen- Spring 2004

    Several Brothers of Pi Chapter extended the helping hand to the Leaman family in South Middleton Township after a fire destroyed a large portion of their home. The Brothers helped to clean debris in and around the house and using a special cleaning agent cleaned the walls and interior of the home, so the family could more quickly rebuild the structure.


    The Salvation Army Soup Kitchen- Spring 2004

    Every week during the spring semester, three or four Brothers work an afternoon shift at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in Carlisle. They help to serve food and clean the kitchen. They also visit and talk with those who come to the facility.


    Make A Difference Day - Fall 2003
    Several Brothers from Pi Chapter along with Dr. John Coyle joined together to clean Stuart Park at Barnitz Mill in Dickinson Township. They removed harmful plants and cleaned debris from the pathways at the park. More about this from  The Sentinel


    Car Wash Fundraiser- Spring 2003

    Brother Lewis Lazar washing a car at the Union Fire Company. Proceeds from the car wash were donated towards the Union Fire Company of Carlisle and the Doug Flutie Foundation's 50 Hours for Autism.

    Harrisburg Youth Program - Spring 2003

    Brother John Shuster helps out at the Harrisburg Youth Program. The program works to provide a safe and positive environment for children.

    Helping at St. Paul's Church of Carlisle - Fall 2002
    St. Paul's Lutheran Church

    Several Brothers helped clean and maintain the facilities at St. Paul's Lutheran Church during the fall semester. In addition to cleaning the church grounds, Brothers also set up tables for church functions and assembled the weekly bulletins.

    Make a Difference Day - Fall 2002
          

    Several Brothers from Pi Chapter along with Dr. John Coyle and rangers from DCNR joined together to clean Hammond's Rocks in Michaux State Forest. They raked shards of broken glass mixed in with leaves and shoveled them into trash bags and used paint and wire brushed to clean the rocks. More about this from The Sentinel.


    Crop Walk - Fall 2002

    Crop Walk

    Brothers Drew Accordino, Dan Emery, Miles Hunt, and Nate Iacovino joined other members of the Carlisle community for the Crop Walk across town. Proceeds from the walk were contributed to food banks.
