Opening Season for the Dickinson College Community Garden Starts March 7th! It is time to get your digging forks out of winter storage and early spring plants ready to plant. The garden gates open at 9am! If you have not yet filled out an application to lease a plot at the community garden for the 2009 season please click here for details. Come to the Going Green Talk on March 7th at the Dickinson College Community Garden to learn about PEAS. Our local Master Gardeners will talk about how to plant them, how many to plant, when to plant, and the differences between types of peas. Whether you and your family eat peas or not we are sure there'll be some learning and laughs. This educational program starts at 10am. Please dress for the weather!
Mark your calendar! Our 6th Annual Local Food Dinner will take place on Saturday, April 4th! This year’s event promises the same gastronomical food experience as year’s past and will feature the inspirational keynote Lyle Estill from Piedmont Biofuels. (www.lyleestill.com). Indoor Farmers’ Market at Dickinson College! Come and experience the plentiful resources available to our community on Saturday, April 4th from 3pm to 6pm. Local farmers, artists, and community organizations will have information and products available for sale in the Holland Union Building (HUB) Social Hall (located at the corner of College and High Str on the Dickinson College campus).
