![]() Dickinson students and professor speak on most popular radio network in SpainThousands of Spaniards listened as two Dickinson students and their professor discussed the American presidential election on the most popular radio network in Spain. Third-year study-abroad students Michael Overman and Daniel Di Meo and Mark Aldrich, professor of Spanish and Portguese, were interviewed for the program “Hoy por Hoy,” (“Today for Today,”). The radio show is broadcast by SER, the most listened-to radio network in Spain, which attracts a daily listenership of 4.5 million. “We were on the air for about 45 minutes,” wrote Aldrich in a recent email to Dickinson. “The students did great, expressing themselves intelliegently in fluent Spanish for a live audience numbering in the tens of thousands.” After the interview, Aldrich and Di Meo participated in a brief interview for a local television news program.
