Joseph Priestley Celebration
October 3, 2002

The 2002 Priestley Award was presented to Jocelyn Bell Burnell, the physicist who first discovered pulsars. Currently the dean of science at the University of Bath, Bell Burnell delivered the lecture "In Pursuit of Pulsars" before an audience in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium.
