Empty Bowls Dinner
April 7, 2008

Members of the Dickinson and Carlisle communities had the opportunity to buy a bowl and share a simple meal of soup and bread, while helping to alleviate hunger. For just the price of the ticket, diners received a handmade bowl, soup, bread and a beverage. Guests chose their own dinnerware of bowls that had been created and decorated by the college's students, faculty and staff at the ceramics studio and the Carlisle Arts Learning Center. The bowls served as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world.
