Community in Action Day
April 5, 2008

Dana Asbury, Dickinson's AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer, and Rev. Mira Hewlett, the interim director of religious life and community service, collaborated to strengthen relations between the college and surrounding Carlisle community. After assessing the needs of the community, it was evident that students could contribute to home restorations throughout Carlisle. This resulted in the first annual Community in Action event, which was held on Saturday, April 5.
