The Visit
march 30- April 3, 2007

The Mermaid Players will put on a production of "The Visit" (Der Besuch der alten Dame) by Friedrich Dürrenmatt March 30 - April 3, 2007 in Mathers Theatre. The tragic comedy premiered in Zürich in 1956 and centers around an eccentric and exceedingly wealthy old lady who returns home to wreak, at any price, an exact and merciless vengeance on her former lover. The play presents to the audience a darkly comic, breathless and, in the end, unanswerable debate about the nature of justice, redemption and community. Tickets may be purchased at the box office or by calling (717) 245-1327. Box office hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m., weekdays, and one hour before each performance.
