Constitution Day Address
September 24, 2007

Marjorie O. Rendell, a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and 43rd First Lady of Pennsylvania, gave the college’s annual Constitution Day address on Monday, Sept. 24. This year's address was titled The Constitution and Civic Responsibility and was delivered in the college’s Anita Tuvin Schlechter (ATS) Auditorium.

In her address, Rendell discussed her passion for civic learning. “We are the newest guardians of our democracy,” she said. “We have a duty … to educate our youngest so that they not only know the words, ‘we the people,’ but fully embrace their meaning.”
