Greg Giles '86 was quoted in The Washington Post in an article about the nuclear threat from Iran.
Noting that experts believe that economic sanctions and diplomacy may not be enough to deter Iran, reporter Robin Wright says, "Echoing arguments put forth before the Iraq invasion, contributor Gregory Giles writes that 'a nuclear Iran would pose serious challenges in terms of controlling its nuclear force, the risk of transfer of nuclear technology, and possible support for WMD terror.'"
Giles is senior director for competitive analysis with Hicks & Associates Inc. He is a contributor to Deterring the Ayatollahs: Complications in Applying Cold War Strategy to Iran, a new publication from The Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
Giles is a guest lecturer at the U.S. Air War College and the U.S. Defense Nuclear Weapons School, speaking on topics such as Iran's leadership and policies and rogue-state and terrorist-group approaches to weapons of mass destruction.
An international-studies and political-science major at Dickinson, he received a master's of international affairs in international security policy from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
