Pi Beta Phi Sorority Wins Balfour Cup
September 24, 2006

Grand President of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women Emily Russell Tarr presents the prestigious Balfour Cup to the Dickinson College Pennsylvania Gamma Chapter during a ceremony at the college on Sept. 23. The Dickinson group was informed of its prize this summer during the 2006 Awards Presentation webcast from St. Louis.

The cup is presented annually to the most outstanding Pi Phi chapter in the nation, based on the chapter's financial management, community-service and philanthropic activities, scholarship, risk management, and campus leadership and involvement. Dickinson's chapter also was one of seven to receive the Chapters of Excellence designation out of 130 chapters. In addition, the group was awarded the top honor for Excellence in Literacy Programming/Activities.
