Alumna Receives Fulbright Grant


Liz Paxton
Elizabeth Paxton '00 was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to work on sustainable economic development in Morocco.

Her Fulbright grant for 2005-2006 was awarded for the following project: research and creation of an ecotourism branch of the Association of Man and the Environment in the Oriental region of Morocco. "The objective is to initiate a viable cultural exchange between tourists and host communities, as well as to establish sustainable economic development in the Oriental region."

Paxton, a French and Political Science major, graduated magna cum laude and received The Harriet Boyer Oler Political Science Prize. After Dickinson, she worked first as a paralegal at the Justice Department antitrust division.

She is currently a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco working as a small business advisor to artisans.
