Amnesty International "Free the Faculty" Event February 26, 2004 |
Students from the Dickinson chapter of Amnesty International held a "Free the Faculty" event at the HUB on Thursday, February 26th. Faculty members spent time in a cage to dramatize the plight of journalists, activists, and politicians who have been unfairly jailed. Passers-by were encouraged to sign letters to governments that are holding these prisoners of conscience. Nearly 500 letters were signed during the event.
