Dickinson's Biddle Field was home to the 10th Relay for Life, a 24-hour event that raises money for the American Cancer Society. Despite the rain, 55 teams of walkers circled Biddle's track towards the fundraising goal of $185,000.

One of the groups participating was Team Dickinson, which included over 20 staff and family members. President Durden and his wife Elke joined the team for part of the Relay on Saturday afternoon. Team Dickinson raised over $3,500, surpassing its goal.
