Red Creek Festival
February 22, 2003

Indians throughout the United States and Canada gathered together for the 11th Annual Red Creek Mid Winter Festival at Dickinson's Holland Union Building.

The event is an opportunity for Native Americans to come together and "have a good time" according to coordinator Don Hockenberry, a Seneca from Aspers, Pennsylvania. "This is one of the few Pow Wows held in the winter. It's meant for friendship, food and fellowship, but it is also an educational experience for both non-Indians and Indians to learn about the Indian heritage."
