Artist, Alumna Christine Drake

Dickinson alumna Christine Drake discussed her artwork based on Wallace Stevens poetry during an appearance on campus. Drake, class of 1972, spoke as a Metzger-Conway Fellow, a program to honor distinguished alumni.

During her campus visit she gave the lecture "13 Blackbirds" at the Weiss Center for the Arts, and also met with art students in the Goodyear Gallery. There is a free public exhibition of her paintings from October 21 to November 1 at the gallery in the Goodyear building at West Louther and Cedar streets. The gallery's hours are Tuesdays through Fridays, 2-6 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
